Skillnote offers two themes.
| Theme | Description |
|---|---|
| Light mode | The default theme with a bright background |
| Dark mode | A dark background that reduces eye strain in low-light or nighttime environments |
How to Change the Theme
Click the sun icon or moon icon toggle button in the sidebar to instantly switch between light mode and dark mode.
- When light mode is active: the moon icon is shown. Click it to switch to dark mode.
- When dark mode is active: the sun icon is shown. Click it to switch to light mode.
Theme Preference Persistence
- Your selected theme is saved in the browser and will be applied on your next visit.
- No save button is needed — the preference is saved automatically as soon as you toggle.
Tip: Using dark mode during extended late-night study sessions can help reduce eye strain and maintain focus.
