Theme & Language

Skillnote supports light/dark themes and a multilingual UI. Adjust these settings to match your preferences and environment.

Theme Settings

Light Mode / Dark Mode

Skillnote offers two themes.

ThemeDescription
Light modeThe default theme with a bright background
Dark modeA dark background that reduces eye strain in low-light or nighttime environments

How to Change the Theme

Click the sun icon or moon icon toggle button in the sidebar to instantly switch between light mode and dark mode.

  • When light mode is active: the moon icon is shown. Click it to switch to dark mode.
  • When dark mode is active: the sun icon is shown. Click it to switch to light mode.

Theme Preference Persistence

  • Your selected theme is saved in the browser and will be applied on your next visit.
  • No save button is needed — the preference is saved automatically as soon as you toggle.

Tip: Using dark mode during extended late-night study sessions can help reduce eye strain and maintain focus.
