Subscription

Skillnote offers three subscription plans. Review the benefits of each plan and choose the one that fits your needs.

How to View Your Plan

Click the profile area at the bottom of the sidebar.
Select “Profile Settings” from the dropdown menu.
Click the “Billing” (credit card icon) tab.

Your current subscription plan and the list of available plans will be displayed.

Plans

Free Plan

Description: “Core note-taking and sharing”
Button: “Current Plan” (displayed as inactive when you are currently on the Free plan)
Use Skillnote’s core features at no cost.
Includes creating and publishing learning posts, AI review question generation, daily review sessions, and all social features such as exploring, following, and commenting.
PDF upload: Attempting to upload a PDF on the Free plan will show an upgrade prompt modal.

Plus Plan

Description: “Includes Skillnote AI features such as AI summaries and image analysis”
Button: “Upgrade” → Clicking this takes you to the Lemon Squeezy payment page.
Includes everything in the Free plan, plus the following AI features:
- One-line AI summary (editor slash command)
- Three-line AI summary (editor slash command)
- Image → LaTeX conversion (editor slash command)
- PDF upload support

Note: The AI slash commands above are exclusive to Plus or Pro plan subscribers. Attempting to use these commands on the Free plan will show an upgrade prompt.

Pro Plan

Description: “A special plan not publicly available, with the highest usage limits for new features”
Button: “Current Plan” (displayed as inactive when you are currently on the Pro plan)
A special plan with maximum usage limits for new features.
Includes all AI features and PDF upload from the Plus plan.
A Pro badge is displayed next to your profile avatar.

The description text shown below your current plan in the Billing tab varies depending on how you obtained that plan.

Managing Your Subscription

Users on a paid plan (Plus or Pro) will see a “Manage Subscription” button. Clicking it takes you to the Lemon Squeezy billing portal, where you can:

Change your payment method
View your billing renewal date
Cancel your subscription

Tip: Start with the Free plan to explore Skillnote fully. When you find yourself needing AI summaries or image analysis, that’s a good time to consider upgrading to the Plus plan.
