User Blogs
Every user on Skillnote has their own blog page. All publicly shared posts are collected in one place on the author’s blog page.
Visiting a Blog
There are two ways to access another user’s blog:
- From a post: Click the author’s name or avatar displayed in the post body or in the “Info” tab of the comment sidebar.
- From the Explore page: Click the author’s name on a post card.
- Direct URL: Type
skillnote.ai/{usertag}directly into your browser’s address bar.
Blog Page Layout
Profile Header
The top of the blog page displays the user’s profile information.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Profile image | The user’s avatar. If not set, the first letter of their blog name is shown. |
| Plan badge | A subscription badge shown for Plus or Pro plan users. |
| Blog name | The blog name set in profile settings. |
| User tag | A unique identifier (cannot be changed). |
| Bio | The self-introduction written in profile settings. |
| Bio links | Registered links such as GitHub, LinkedIn, personal website, etc. |
| Followers / Following count | Click the numbers to view the respective lists. |
Post List
Below the profile header, all publicly shared posts by that user are listed in card format.
- The default sort order is newest first.
- Each card displays the post title, summary description, tags, and publication date.
- Click a card to go to that post’s detail page.
Following
Following a user you are interested in makes it easy to keep up with their activity.
Follow a User
- Visit the blog page of the user you want to follow.
- Click the “Follow” button in the profile header.
Alternatively, go to the “Info” tab in the comment sidebar on a post detail page, open the ”…” menu, and select “Follow”.
Unfollow a User
- Visit the blog page of the user you are already following.
- Click the “Unfollow” button.
Alternatively, go to the “Info” tab in the comment sidebar, open the ”…” menu, and select “Unfollow”.
Followers / Following List
Click the follower count or following count shown in the blog’s profile header to view the respective list. Click a user’s name in the list to go directly to their blog.
Author Profile Popover
While reading a post, hovering over the author’s name or avatar displays the UserProfileCard popover. You can quickly check the following information without navigating away from the page:
- Profile image and blog name
- Bio
- Followers / Following count
- Follow / Unfollow button
Tip: Following users who study similar topics helps you gain new learning perspectives and stay motivated. Check the trending posts on the Explore page to discover authors whose work resonates with you.
